11 year anniversary

Some days it seems like it's been forever, and other times it feels like it was just last week Ryan and I were married. 11 years ago, we were married in Ryan's small hometown of Middletown, OH. (you may have heard of it from the controversial book,  Hillbilly Elegy ) with around 60 attending.  Very small, very low key...but perfect. A lot of stuff has happened in the last decade, but more so in the last three years, really. I would not want anyone else at my side! We have our differences from time to time, but we see eye to eye on the major stuff  (politics, religion, family) and I can truly say I have a life partner who always looks out for me and our family; puts us first and works incredibly hard to give us always wonderful, comfortable life. This little munchkin is just the icing on the cake! Here's to many more!

Three weeks later, and here I am to continue recapping our Asheville trip:( I've decided to do it through pictures with less gab:) Tuesday, the Biltmore Estate: Biscuithead for breakfast. Yum.  Same beautiful view from the quirky Peter Sellars movie, Being There. Watch it. Gorgeous Ryan, please build me a music room. Just like this one. No big deal. No way we could have seen this place without the invention of both stroller and electronic device  Love this picture of daddy and daughter!  Biltmore has a small animal farm for kids!  We visited this right after tasting some of their wines  After coming home we were all pooped, and if my memory serves me right,  I believe we ate Buxton Hall BBQ for dinner (Ryan went to pick it up while we stayed at the house since maddie was napping. Wednesday:  Vortex Doughnuts and a day of Asheville shopping! I wanted to get Ryan this upright mandolin he liked but he refused. Double decker coff

Almost a month later...Asheville trip, Day One!

I've been putting off blogging about our Asheville trip at the beginning of September because...well,  I just haven't felt like blogging :(  The older Maddie gets, and the more we do...I'm just realizing that our lives are getting more cluttered and busier, and the thought of sitting down to document our every day happenings just adds to the mind clutter for me.  However, part of my self inflicted stress is that I desperately want to preserve memories in every way possible, and blogging is a good way to do that.  It's just more time consuming than I'd like:(  So these posts are going to be seeping out pretty slowly...like at a snail's pace...one day at a time :P Here is our Asheville trip, Day 1: We had planned to leave for NC from Columbus early Labor Day but we decided we wanted to get the most out of our five day trip, so we left Sunday morning instead so we could hit up Chimney Rock come Monday morning. We booked a room at Country Day Inn and Suites Su
