Catching up on New Year's Day!

I completely realize I've let over two months lapse since I last posted. Life is just...life.  Here are a few pictures to basically summarize only the last THREE major holidays  (okay, maybe Halloween isn't major, but it kinda is with a kid!):

HALLOWEEN, 2017

THANKSGIVING

CHRISTMAS

MOMMY'S 35TH BIRTHDAY!!! (NOT A HOLIDAY, BUT WHATEVER)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The last 2-3 months have been a complete blur. I am positive it is due to a mixture of dealing with an increasingly ornery, smart-aleck 2.5 year old; discovery that my mom's cancer is progressing (two days before Thanksgiving, which then led to some occurrences that had me believing I was miscarrying on Thanksgiving Day)...and oh yes...being 11 WEEKS PREGNANT AND ALL THE FUN HORMONES THAT COME WITH IT!!!

So as you can see, lots of ups and downs this holiday season. After trying for what seemed like forever to conceive, I finally was able to share the news with family only to get some unwanted news about my mom's cancer journey a few weeks later. I am still so thankful for being able to spend ample time with her, but the anxiety and desperate hope that she can make it to the birth of this second grandchild this coming July (weeks after Maddie's birthday!) has me extremely clenched.

But I still very much want to remember the good parts, and so hopefully in the new year I can get it together and write more regularly on daily life with Maddie, the pregnancy and whatever else catches my fancy:)

I hope all of you have had a great holiday season and wonderful new year💚

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Sending positive thoughts your way that you will have a healthy pregnancy. I'm so sorry about your mom. I can only imagine how difficult this journey is for you and your family.

I can't believe how big Maddie is! I mean, I know she's supposed to be growing, but when did your baby turn into a little girl?! What a cutie pie. Big congrats to you on your pregnancy! How exciting - I hope the pregnancy goes well and that your mom is there for the birth. I'm sorry her cancer has returned. That sucks beyond measure.
